Portrait || Samara || East Cobb Park, Marietta, Georgia

This shoot was breaking new ground for me. Since my daughter was born, I have been taking a million pictures of her of course, but I had never photographed another child before. It was definitely an interesting challenge but I got to roll around on the ground a lot – a favorite tactic of mine =) – so I look forward to getting to take pictures of more children in the future!

I have known Samara’s mother since middle school and it was great to meet up with her again. It’s so interesting to think back on how long ago that was. Now we both have children of our own and completely different lives! I don’t think if I could go back and tell my middle school self what my life is like now that she would believe me. =P

And now, for the gorgeous little girl!

Engaged || Kenda + Brandon || Kennesaw Mountain & The Marietta Square, Georgia

These are long overdue, but I’m excited to share with you Kendra and Brandon’s lovely engagement session!

I worked with both Kendra and Brandon a few years back and therefore was more than just a little excited when I found out that they got engaged. =P The are both funny, caring, and kind people and make an excellent couple. They’re definitely the kind of people you know take the commitment of “sticking by you through thick and thin” seriously and you can see it in everything they do together.

I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed shooting it and that everyone had a great holiday season. =)

Engaged || Kelly + Stephen || Sope Creek, Marietta, Georgia

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. The cool air offers us a respite from the oppressive Georgia heat, the leaves turn into fantastic colors, and the light just seems more golden. I was shocked how few black and whites I converted over from this session, but then I remembered, who wants black and white when there is so much beautiful color around?!

And who needs black and white when you have Kelly’s gorgeous eyes?! =P Of course, it always helps to have a beautiful couple in love to compliment the beautiful scenery. Kelly and Stephen were definitely that! I am so excited to photograph their wedding in the spring – it’s such an honor to be a part of a wedding where the couple is truly meant for each other.

I remember saying “wow!” out loud as I went through this set. I hope you will too!
